I ran across a Great Quote this morning, while have morning coffee, by Reba McEntire ,,,

“To succeed in life, you need three things, a wishbone, a backbone, and a funny bone.”

I can tell you ,,, from my experiences,, you have to have all of these to survive !!!

A wishbone- When I was growing up, whenever we would have chicken, or especially Turkey, my sisters and I would via for who got to pull the wishbone apart- You would make a wish and the person who had the big half of the wishbone after breaking would get their wish !!! What is a wish,,, it is hope and belief in something wonderful given to you – You need to have Hopes and Dreams to keep moving forward !! My Hopes, Dreams and Beliefs are all founded through the Lord Jesus Christ,,, through Cancer, Amputation on lower right leg, Broken hand, Separation from family and Living alone,,, he has always been with me- He fills me with a peace within that enables me to keep going each and every day- With him there is always a Silver Lining to every dark cloud of life !!!

A Backbone- That is standing tall against all odds- My Dad used to tell me to get a backbone when I would be whining around,, meaning quite whining about it and do something to change/deal with whatever it was that was pushing me- You have to stop, access what the problem is and figure out a solution to resolve- While growing up in Oregon and Alaska, I spent a lot of time in the mountains, hunting, hiking or just out and about- More then once I have had the helpless feeling of being lost, not paying attention to where I was going- My Dad taught me to stop, look around and determine what I knew from my surroundings and plan a way back- One thing for sure,,, you don’t get un-lost by getting more lost !!! There are going to be hard times and trials in any life- You have to stop,, access where you are and what your beliefs are and plan forward,, sticking with what you know and believe and have faith that it will work out for your good !! Faith is the food for the soul- Through Faith in Jesus and his support,,, you can make it through anything and become,,, un-lost !!!

A Funnybone- Now this is for sure a necessity of any meaningful life- In short, don’t take yourself to seriously- Enjoy what you have and laugh with people, even when they are laughing about you- Nothing will ruin the fun of a vicious attach from someone, who is trying to disguise it as a funny joke, then for you to laugh with them- It takes away their satisfaction- Think of it as rain off a ducks back ?? When I was young on the farm, I remember some downpours of rain that would soak you immediately,, but I also remember the ducks we had around,, it would be pouring with lighting and thunder, and these ducks would be quacking and playing and having a great ole time- The rain never bothered them a bit,,, the rain just ran right off their backs with no consequence !!! Whenever you are attached with harsh words,, think of yourself as a duck in a rain storm and just let the words ran off your back with no consequence !!!

If you have Jesus in your life he will always be with you and guide you, no matter what is happening around you !!!
