Truth or Consequences Update

Hello, Everyone-

Here is a repeat of a blog entry I wrote back in 2016- As for the Truth part,,, it has not changed in the last 9 years except that the Real Truth has become even harder to follow !!! Look around and tell me that lying and worldly truth have not become unbelievable !!! How many News programs do you trust to tell you the truth,,, I mean the real unbiased truth as to what happened or was stated ??? Not Many or Maybe None !!!

Gods Truth never changes,,,, 0000 ,,,, 1900 ,,, 2024 or 3535 !!

On the other hand,,, the world’s truth constantly changes,,, just change the station or politician, or person you are listening to.

If you want the Real Truth, turn to the Bible, there are answers to anything you may encounter in this world !! It will also warn you of the Consequences if you don’t take it to heart and change your path !!!

Believe me, I can attest to this fact, as I have lived through and am still living with the consequences of my sometimes stubborn and arrogant past !!! Consequences are never very pleasant !!

Now,,, April 2016

I remember when I was growing up, years ago, there was a TV show called “Truth or Consequences” The theme was that if a contestant couldn’t answer a question with the truth,,, there would be consequences. I also have a friend that grew up in Truth or Consequences New Mexico. Does that sound like a western town??

Anyhow my experience in life has been that, if you don’t tell or live by the truth,,, there will always be consequences down the road,, pretty much for sure. It is true in this life and will be true in eternity. John 14:6 says (KJV) : “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life:no man cometh unto the Father, but by me”. If we choose to live by, believe and accept the truth of Jesus in this present life, we will be with him in eternity,,, if not,,, there will be the consequences of eternity separated from him,,,,,, Hell. The truth is always the best way !!!

Up and Down

Here’s a thought from my life experiences ,,,,

There is always an Up Side to any Down Side and always a Down Side to any Up Side,,, The trick is to stay focused on the Up,,, whether Up or Down !!!

Focus on Jesus Christ; he is Always the Up, whether you are Up or Down !!

Focus on him, and the Up will be sustainable ( relating to a lifestyle involving the use of sustainable methods ), and the Downside will be unsustainable ( not capable of being prolonged or continued ).

Focus on Jesus and let him lift you Up !!!

Depression

Hello Hello-

Depression,,, we have all been there and felt to lack of “something” “anything” when depressed !! There are lots of examples of cure’s to depression,, i.e. ,,, positive thinking,,, change your schedule,,, call a friend or loved one,,, do something, anything, different in your life,,, get drunk (bad idea) ,,, get loaded (another bad idea),,, run away ( hard to outrun yourself )!!! So what works ???

Well I can tell you I have had some very depressing times in my life including “me caused” or ” life caused” or “getting younger caused”,,, but the result is always the same,,, you have to get over it and move forward !!! So what have I found that works for me ???

GIVING ,,,, Yes Giving !!! Give freely to someone with no strings attached !!! It can be a gift,,, lunch,,, time,,, friendship,,, being there,,, ride,,, companionship,,, love,,, anything from your heart !!! Just do it with no intensions/expectations of anything in return !!!

I tell you what ,,, in my experience,,, it is hard to stay depressed after you give to someone and feel the reaction and the joy in your heart !!! Doesn’t have to cost a penny !!!

Next time you are a little or lot depressed,,, give it a try and wipe out the feeling of depression so you can get back on track and move forward !!!

Apple Cart

I had a dream the other night and I remember it well !! I usually don’t remember my dreams for more then a few minutes after I wake up, but this one was different,,, I have been thinking about it a lot since I dreamed it !!!

So here it goes !!!

I was strolling along my path of life pulling a large cart,,,, full of apples !! I was thinking what a bunch of fine apples I had aquired while living my life to fill this cart !!! Patting myself on the back,,,, so to speak !!!!

About that time,,, here comes God and upsets my cart of apples !!! I was beside myself,,,, God, why did you upset my life’s cart of apples ???

He said,,, one bad apple will ruin the whole bunch !!! As I looked at all the apples spread all over the ground,,, I could see ,,, sure enough,,, most of them were rotten and there were only a few good apples remaining !!!

So I thought about all the bad apples laying there,,, there were apples collected from greed,,, apples from selfishness,,, apples from arrogance and pride,,, apples from my adultress life,,, apples from my deceptions,,, apples from predijuce,,, apples from turning my back on God ,,, apples from my self-glorification and lies ,,, and apples from not being the man God designed me to be !!!

I felt Great Sadness as I looked upon all the rotten apples I had collected from all the years of my life !!!

Then God pointed out that there were a few good apples in the cart,, ones that had not been spoiled by my worldly life,, good apples from the times in my life that I turned back to God and did things his way and added bright red beautiful apples to my cart… But they were few and far between !!!

With even just a few good apples,,, God loved me enough to upset my cart so he could cleanse me of all the bad apples I was chained to ,,, By doing so he let me see only the good apples so I could move forward producing big beautiful good apples to fill my cart !!!

Although the bad apples contained most of the material things I had strived for and kiddingly acheived ,, it set me straight on what was truely important and lasting in this life that you can take to heaven with you !!!

You might want to check your cart of apples to see how you are doing,,,, the one problem with that is,,, unless to know and have accepted Jesus as you savior,,, you probably won’t be able to tell the bad apples from the good ones !!!??? That will be a problem later on !!!
