There is an ole saying that goes like this “Two Wrongs don’t make a Right “!!! In all my decades here on earth,,, these are, true to life, words !!! You can’t continue to cover one wrong with another wrong,,, i.e ,,, More stealing to cover past theft,,, Bigger lies to cover past lies,,, more gossip to cover past gossip,,, more sin to cover past sins !!!

The long and short of these actions is that you are just putting off the inevitable (incapable of being avoided or evaded) !!!

Another saying that goes along with this comes to mind. ” Pay me now or pay me later,,, but later is always more expensive “. In short, the consequences of your actions will be compounded as time goes on !!!

I can almost guarantee that there will come a day of reckoning in your future,,, be it today, tomorrow, next week, next month or years from now,,, it will come to pass, and you will have to deal with it !!! There will be no more cover-up !!!

My advice, if this is your lifestyle,,, fess up and face the music !! It is better earlier rather than later- Clear the slate and get on with your life- You will feel much better for it and get out of the wrong for wrong endless circle !!!

If continual sin is your issue,,,, and we all have to deal with many temptations, each day,,, the only way out is to seek, believe, accept and ask forgiveness of the Lord Jesus Christ,,, He has already cleared the slate for you if you will just accept him and his teaching !!!

Whichever it is in your life,,, start the changing process today- You will be better for it tomorrow and happier going forward !!!

There is an ole saying that I have heard and repeated a number of times in my life !!! It goes like this ::

Sometimes “The Truth Hurts” !!!

Why is that,,,, we are taught to always tell the truth, so why would it hurt us ??? It is usually because we have done something wrong and don’t want to admit it or hid it !!! We know that if we confess the truth, it is going to expose us of what we did or how we acted !! It will open us up to face the consequences !!!

Well there is a book out there that is full of truth and nothing but the truth, if we take the time to read it !!! Yes, you are correct,,, It is the one and only Bible inspired by God !!! Whether you want to believe it, does not change the truth is holds !!

I was reading in Psalms the other day and one of these “Truths” hit me head on !!!

Psalm 30:6-7 NLT

[6] When I was prosperous, I said, “Nothing can stop me now!” [7] Your favor, O LORD, made me as secure as a mountain. Then you turned away from me, and I was shattered.

That hit the nail right on the head- I can even remember,,, when all was excellent and good in my life,,, thinking,,, I am doing great and on a roll,,, what can hinder me,,, I am ahead of the game !!!

Well God was blessing me and when I turned away from him and glorified myself as the Master of my Universe he decided it was time to get my attention !!! He let me bask in my spender and deception for a time,,, all the time convicting me to turn from my harmful ways,,, but I was absorbed in my moment and didn’t want to change !!!

Well when he turned from me,,, I was completely shattered !!! Cancer, below knee leg amputation, lose of work and divorce,,, all in less than a year- He definitely got my attention back, and I understood exactly what was going on !!!

Now looking back on that time,,, I am really thankful that he loved me enough to take the time !!! Although I was suffering,,, he was always with me and comforted me- I could not have made it through without him always by my side !!! Thank You, Jesus, for loving me that much !!!

So the moral to this story is :

If you want to have an understanding of the consequences you may face, in the future, for the lies and deceptions you may be living now,,, you might want to check the Bible !!!

There are no lies or deceptions in the Bible ,,, only Truth !!!
